4.0 out of 5 stars Don't understand it, but they do work, February 24, 2011

I purchased these glasses as a last ditch effort to correct an issue with chronic eye fatigue. After spending six years in front of a monitor ten hours a day I was experiencing the occasional headache, and I tended to go a bit nearsighted after about two or three hours of work every morning. Prior to using the glasses I made notes on how well I could see reader boards across the office.

Day one was a little funny being harassed by co-workers asking when I was going to the shooting range. On a performance level the only thing I really noticed was it felt like my eyes were being pulled on a little.

By the end of week one I couldn't feel anything happening but I realized I could read signage from across the room at around noon when they would have been otherwise unreadable previously.

These might be the silliest looking glasses you'll ever wear on a daily basis, but they're completely worth and ridicule you get for them.
-They're great for if you get fuzzy eyes or headaches after prolonged computer use.

These are great glasses if you're in front of a computer all day. I am a field service engineer for a surgical microscope distributor, so I alternate between looking at LCD screens, looking thru microscopes, and the long distance vision required for driving almost every day. I have 20/15 (post LASIK) vision, but my eyes still get tired. Then I want to come home and play video games on my PC, so I grabbed some Gunnars. They add just a hint (+0.2 diopters) of magnification to allow your eyes to relax while looking at digital screens (and in my experience they help in driving at night too as they reduce glare). My only pet peeve was the amber tint on the lenses. It took quite a while to get used to for me. And I can't wear them at work because color is a big thing when you're tweaking video systems that are used to teach surgeons how to identify and work on anatomy. If you're not in a field where color isn't too important, or you can just get used to the amber tint these will... Read more
